Open source

What is open source in sitewarm? The sitewarm command-line tool is open source under the Apache License 2.0, and its code is public. The hosted app and API at sitewarm.dev, run by Clarivo, Inc., are proprietary software, and their source code is not published.
What is open source
The command-line tool is written in Go. It warms your top pages through the CDN after a deploy and verifies cache hits per URL and browser profile. Its source is in the public repository clarivo-co/sitewarm, licensed under the Apache License 2.0.
The tool is in development: the repository has no published release yet, so today you build it from source. The earlier Python version is frozen in the repository under legacy/ and is not developed further.
What is hosted and proprietary
The hosted dashboard and API are a separate product operated by Clarivo, Inc. They are proprietary: their source code is not published and the Apache License 2.0 does not cover them.
How the hosted service is secured, and which companies process data for it, is described on the security page and the sub-processors page.
How to contribute
Bug reports, CDN header samples and pull requests are welcome in the public repository. For anything larger than a small fix, open an issue first so the approach can be agreed before you write code. The contributing guide describes the checks a pull request must pass, and everyone taking part follows the code of conduct.
Reporting a security issue
For the command-line tool, use private vulnerability reporting on GitHub and do not open a public issue; the security policy lists what is in scope. For the hosted service, follow the disclosure steps on the security page.
